Man to serve prison time in 2005 Wakarusa Festival drug case

A St. Louis man will spend four and a half years in federal prison for trying to sell drugs at the 2005 Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival.

Joseph Cronin, 29, was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to the drug charges in May.

He and two other men were arrested at the festival three years ago when officers searched their van and found 1,700 grams of ecstasy, more than 4,000 grams of illegal mushrooms, nearly 950 doses of LSD, marijuana and more than $9,000 in cash.

One co-defendant was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison; the other was placed on probation for two years.

How was the $9000 in cash relevant?
It's not a drug, and there's no way to prove beyond a doubt that it came from selling drugs, even though it likely did.

$9,000 cash was for making change. I'm sure if Obambi (the Obamessiah) is elected, all convicted felons will have their voting and 2nd amendment rights restored. After all, they vote dimocrat.

Not completely related to this dumbbutt's idiocy, but I've been hearing things about Waka being done with. They got put in the red big time this year with the weather issues and the lack luster headliners and competition from other regional festivals. I hope this gossip isn't true as I've had a great time going three of the five years.
